Joe Jonas caused an uproar when his "tell-all" feature published in New York Magazine revealed shocking truths, including information about ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato.
Though Jonas' comments did not go over well with Lovatics, Lovato wasn't hurt by what her friend had to say. The "Heart Attack" singer even sent out her love for the former Jonas Brother on her official Twitter account.
However, Lovato made it clear to Perezhilton.com she wasn't exactly thrilled about how Jonas worded his feature.
"My first reaction was, 'Well that was stupid.' But we are always going to be in each other's lives. I was with Nick [Jonas] today and they are family. I've known them since I was 14, 15 and I have a lot of love for them," Lovato said.
Jonas detailed his former romantic relationship with Demi in his New York Magazine feature. He also revealed the first time he ever tried marijuana was with Lovato and fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus.
"One relationship that meant a lot to fans was the one I had with Demi Lovato, who I've known for years," Jonas said. "I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse. I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn't happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help. I couldn't express any of that, of course, because I had a brand to protect."
Lovato may not have agreed with Jonas’ phrasing, but she did understand why he wrote the feature.
"He never shared his side of the story and what he had to go through when we were friends or whatever. I was like, 'Choose your words more carefully next time, but whatever, you're fine,” Lovato told PerezHilton.com.
