Uncut video footage of a physical altercation between comedian Katt Williams and a Georgia teenager was released online, proving that Williams threw the first punch. The "Friday After Next" star was reportedly playing a game of soccer with neighborhood kids at a playground in Gainesville, Ga., when the competitive game turned sour.
Williams, 42, has a reputation of being volatile. He was ordered to stand trial last fall on robbery charges stemming from a 2014 paparazzi incident with Death Row Records owner and hip-hop mogul Suge Knight. The pair pleaded not guilty to confiscating a paparazzi's camera after the pap snapped photos of Knight's young son.
During a visit to a housing project in Gainesville, Williams befriended the neighborhood kids and handed out money. He joined in on a soccer game as a goalie, but then the game got competitive. In the video footage recorded by a bystander, Williams can be seen smack-talking 17-year-old Luke Wash during the game. Williams walked off the field, but Wash followed. Williams then hurled insults at the teen while sitting on the ground, his back leaned up against a building.
"I just got out of jail n---a, and they probably didn't have anybody as big as you," Williams taunted the teen. "You're gonna have acne until you're 26."
Williams stood up and Wash stepped closer to his face. Williams then sucker punched the teen in his face and continued to shove. But Wash, a former wrestler, caught one of Williams' kicks, forcing him to the ground and placing him in a submission headlock. Wash held Williams down until adults had to break the two apart.
"We were playing a game of soccer and I just thought it was a soccer game, but stuff happens in sports," Wash said of the incident. "I tried to shake his hand and he was like, 'back off me little boy.' I don't know if he was sour, but it is what it is."
In the clip, Williams continued to smack talk after Wash was pulled away.
"As a community, y'all let a little broke n---a do that to a celebrity," he scolded the crowd of onlookers. "I'm just trying to show other celebrities why they don't come to the hood more often. It's not that they don't want to, it's they know bulls--t will happen."
