Casting news for "Fifty Shades of Grey' continues to roll in. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures and Focus Features have tapped 53-year-old actor Callum Keith Rennie to play Ray Steele, Anastasia Steele's (Dakota Johnson) stepfather.
Ana's other stepfather was recently cast as Dylan Neal, who will play Bob. Bob is married to Ana's mother (Jennifer Ehle) but the college student looks at Ray as her "real" dad. Ray even meets Ana's new love interest, Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) at her college graduation.
Rennie will join a growing list of cast members including Eloise Mumford Anas's best friend Kate Kavanagh, Victor Rasuk as Ana's close friend Jose Rodriguez, Rita Ora as Christian's sister Mia Grey, Luke Grimes as Christian's brother Elliot Grey, Max Martini as Christian's bodyguard Jason Taylor and Marcia Gay Harden as Christian's mother Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey.
The film has yet to cast Christian's father and Elena Lincoln aka Mrs. Robinson as well as other minor rolls. It was rumored that actress Katie Holmes was interested in playing Elena to help get her acting career back on track.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" currently started filming in Vancouver, Canada. Pictures from the set have leaked online showing Dornan and Johnson filming the "coffee date" scene. In other photos Johnson is seen leaving Grey Enterprises wearing a reddish-colored dress, matching heels and trench coat. Dornan is seen standing next to her completely in character wearing a grey suit and a crisp white shirt.
Recently James teased fans by posting a picture on Instagram of what some believe to be Christian's playroom aka the "Red Room of Pain."
"One shades of gray..." she captured the photo leaving fans to speculate about what it is really is.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" is scheduled to be released Feb. 13, 2015.
