'The Division' Players Find New Loot Cave After Previous One Disappears [VIDEO]

Loot farming is the name of the game in MMORPGs. Players spend hours on end farming for gear and other upgrades so they can take on the next tier of content, only to have to do so once again after their current challenge is completed. The necessity to find quicker ways to accomplish this task has given rise to Loot Caves: locations where players can easily acquire piles of high-end loot with little to no effort, and Ubisoft's recently-released "The Division" is no exception.

Since making its debut earlier this March, players have sought out loot caves in order to effectively collect gear in as short a time as possible. But with every success came a nerf from Ubisoft that served to close it back up, leaving players to find another one. The most recent fix came a little while ago when Ubisoft fixed an exploit concerning one of the NPC bosses, Bullet King, but it looks like players have persevered and have found yet another loot cave.

The newest loot cave is a real gem: not only is it a loot cave which is significant in of itself, but it can be found during the Madison Square Garden mission. Yes that's right, this latest exploit can be accessed in the early stages of the game, meaning that even low-level players can take advantage of it. As you may remember, this mission needs to be completed in order to unlock the Medical Wing at your Base of Operations. It tasks the player with infiltrating the once-sprawling stadium which is now overrun by a group of Rikers, one of the militant groups that now plague New York, in order to rescue a doctor and medical staff who are trapped inside.

The crux of this exploit is the boss encounter that you have on the roof of the Garden against Hutch and the group of Rikers that accompany him. Normally you would cautiously work your way through the minions until Hutch hops down and engages you directly. But this time, you need to defeat him before he drops down from his rooftop position. If done correctly, another version of him will come running out the front door and can be killed for high-end loot.

Afterwards, its just more of the same with loot caves: just kill yourself via grenades or let some of the minions kill you, and then repeat the process.

There are only two things to look out for when using this exploit:

- Do not kill the remaining minions after "Shadow Hutch" is dead. Doing so ends the mission, forcing the player to repeat it if they wish to take advantage of the loot cave again.

- Kill regular Hutch while he is at his initial position. It's certainly possible to do so after he drops down, but its easier to kill him ASAP (it also saves time in the long run).

Players who are successful in using this exploit will get endless piles of loot, and players who reach level 30 have a higher chance of getting high-end loot and even Phoenix Credits - which can be used to purchase even better gear.

It's safe to assume that Ubisoft is already aware of the exploit and will take it down at some point this week, so take advantage of the cave while you can.
