Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis do not know if they're on the Easter bunny bandwagon. The actor stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel! Live" on Monday and told the late night host that he and his wife, Mila Kunis, debated whether or not they were going to explain exactly what the Easter bunny is to their 18-month-old daughter, Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher.
"We had a legitimate conversation as to whether or not we're going to go down that path. Like we think we're going Santa Claus, but we don't know about the bunny," Kutcher told Kimmel. "It's up in the air. It's tough because it's like, 'Why is a bunny laying eggs? Mommy, does a bunny lay eggs?' 'No, but the Easter bunny does.'"
The 38-year-old actor then explained to the host that a lot of the Easter traditions just don't really add up.
"And then it becomes a whole thing and then why were there little Peep chicken things, like what are those? Like what dies that have to do with Jesus coming back from the dead, and did that really happen? It's all really confusing," Kutcher said.
While Kutcher questioned a lot of the logistics of the holiday, he and Kunis did stage a Easter egg hunt for their only daughter, but it was not a traditional hunt - there was no candy in the hidden eggs. Instead, the actor told Kimmel that they wanted to put a healthier option in the plastic eggs.
"We didn't want to put candy in it because she's 1-and-a-half and she's not quite ready - we're not quite ready for her to be ready for candy, so we did Cheerios and raisins," he explained. "She loved the raisins! She was going ape for the raisins."
While Kutcher and Kunis won't let their daughter eat sugar, "The Ranch" actor said the adults eat it like crazy.
"It's there. We just don't give it to her," Kutcher said. "I'm not ready for that. I'm not ready for that. I was eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch this morning, and she was trying to hijack my Cinnamon Toast Crunch because she got the flavor. And I'm trying to negotiate with her, but it was like a Republican debate - we couldn't get on the same page!"
