'Doom's' 'Fight Like Hell' Trailer Highlights Fast-Paced Action Ahead Of Closed Multiplayer Beta Release [TWEET, VIDEO]

The closed multiplayer beta for Bethesda's upcoming horror-shooter "Doom" is nearly upon us, and the firm is celebrating the occasion with the release of a brand-new trailer titled "Fight Like Hell."

"Fight Like Hell" offers a departure from the traditional trailers that "Doom" is known for. Whereas other trailers feature gameplay of our lone protagonist fighting it out against hordes of demons, this one is a live-action cinematic and offers players a rare chance to see the action from a third-person view. Yes, that's right, we actually get to see the marine himself fighting against everything that hell has to throw at him.

The trailer highlights three series staples: relentless combat, intimidating demons and cool weaponry, and it's all done magnificently. We start off by seeing the marine using the Plasma Gun to fight off some foes before switching to the tried-and-true Double Barrelled Shotgun. In the meantime, we see the marine move in a fashion similar to what Bethesda expects from players. He moves quickly and often, evading attacks and rarely stopping, except for when he's finishing off an enemy. As an added touch, viewers can see the wear and tear that the marine's armor suffers as he engages in more battles. The trailer then reaches it's climax when the marine finally escapes to find himself face-to-face with the iconic Cyberdemon.

All of this takes place in under a minute, and yet, it is perfectly indicative of what players expect to see once the game drops on May 13 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In the meantime, players who happened to have purchased "Wolfenstein: The New Order" will be able to participate in the closed multiplayer beta that goes live tonight at 10 p.m. EST. All they need to do is redeem the beta key that was included and follow that Bethesda listed here.

Do note that if you failed to purchased "Wolfenstein" prior to the deadline, you aren't out of luck. You will miss the first night of action, but starting on April 1 at 6 p.m. EST, you can visit GameStop or EB Games (if you're in Canada) to receive a free "DOOM" Closed Beta access code.

Here is what players can expect once they get started:

- Maps: Heatwave and Infernal.
- Game Modes: 6 v. 6 Team Deathmatch and Warpath.
- Demon: Revenant.
- Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Static Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle and Lightning Gun.
- Power Weapons: Gauss Cannon.
- Equipment: Frag Grenade, Personal Teleporter, Siphon Grenade.

The beta will be available from March 31 at 10 p.m. EST to April 3 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
