'Call of Duty: Ghosts' Multiplayer DLC Goes Live Offering New Wolf Skin For Guard Dog Killstreak

Infinity Ward has revealed the first new bit of DLC for its immensely popular next-gen game "Call of Duty: Ghosts." Unfortunately for those who are clamoring for some new multiplayer maps or an addition to the story, that kind of DLC won't be here for some time, what this new one does is turns your Guard Dog killstreak's loveable warmongrel into a ravenous wolf.

Infinity Ward revealed the new, low-cost DLC on its Instagram page, seen below, saying it will be available on Thursday, Dec. 12, for both the next-generation Xbox One and previous-generation Xbox 360. It will cost console users $1.99 and is expected to launch on consoles other than the Xbox in the very near future.

"Lead your pack to victory. Get The Wolf, a custom #CODGhosts Guard Dog Killstreak skin from 12/12 on Xbox for $1.99 USD," the text accompanying the post reads.

For those who are excited for some DLC with significantly more content to add to "Call of Duty: Ghosts" it appears Activision has accidentally leaked the names of the four forthcoming DLC packs in an e-mail sent to fans late last month.

According to IGN, the company sent a graphic to fans showing the names of the DLC as "Onslaught," "Devastation," "Invasion" and "Nemesis." Together, the initials of each campaign intentionally spell out ODIN. The four maps appear to make up a year's worth of DLC, discounted with a season Pass. The company pulled the graphic quickly but not before e-mailing it to several fans.

"Get 4 epic DLC Map Packs*, each delivering a collection of fresh Call of Duty: ghosts multiplayer content and more. Plus, you'll receive the Team Leader digital content pack, a Season Pass-bonus that includes a unique MP character head, weapon camo, reticle, player patch, player card and player background," the graphic, reads.

You can download the new wolf skin today but there's no word on just when any of the ODIN DLC packs will be going live.
