Kylie Jenner was forced to defend herself on Twitter after she told a young fan "don't touch me" as she was walking into a restaurant on Thursday night surrounded by the paparazzi.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star was going to dinner with her sister Kendall Jenner at the Los Angeles hot spot Craig's as three pre-teen girls shouted her name and grabbed her arm while requesting a picture. The 18-year-old then scolded the girls and walked into the eatery.
Following questions from fans, Jenner explained that she was not annoyed that the girls wanted to take a picture, she was just scared because she could not see anything and did not have a security guard with her.
"She wasn't annoying. She came in the restaurant after and I had a talk with her and we took photos," Jenner told a fan who said, "I don't blame you for saying what you did."
Jenner continued to explain the situation on Twitter: "She just apologized for grabbing on to me so hard... & said she was a big fan and we embraced & took pics," the reality star wrote. "I just said u can't be doing that. It's scary when I can't see & have no Security already."
While the 18-year-old may be the youngest member of the famous Kardashian/Jenner family, she already is one of the most popular with more than 15 million followers on Twitter, more than 56.5 million followers on Instagram and has been named the most popular person on Snapchat. With Jenner's growing fame, the tabloids have started to pit the teenager against her older sisters, specifically Kim Kardashian. The rumors got so out of hand that Kardashian decided to address them on her website and app.
"Kylie and I laugh so hard at this all the time, because people always want to pit us against each other, thinking we have similar careers," Kardashian wrote. "I think it's amazing - there's no one else I would want to be in the same business with than my sister. She teaches me so much, and I teach her so much, and we're both so close that it's just funny."
