Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Schulamn welcomed their baby boy Jonathan Rosebanks just a few days ago, and the first-timers are already loving parenthood.
While neither have officially spoken out since the Oscar-winning actress gave birth on Thursday, March 24, multiple sources have confirmed that the baby is healthy and that the happy couple is thrilled to finally have their little bundle of joy.
"[Hathaway] is just enjoying every second with her baby boy," a source said on Sunday. "[They are] loving every minute being new parents. He is such a sweet and happy baby. He looks like a mixture between Anne and Adam."
Jonathan was born in Los Angeles, where Hathaway and Schulman have a home, and ever since, they have had "many friends and family coming in and out of their home."
"Anne and Adam's parents have been very helpful with the baby," the source added. "Anne plans on breastfeeding and wants to experience and feel everything about being a new mother. [Schulman] has been such a great husband and really supportive to Anne."
Hathaway has always been very open about wanting to start a family someday. "I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely," she said in 2013. "I think about it all the time, though it's a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I'll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can't wait to meet them."
She and Schulman started dating in 2008 after meeting through mutual friends, and he then proposed to her in November 2011. They tied the knot in Big Sur, Calif. in September 2012 during a quiet ceremony with just friends and family.
While Hathaway has an idea in her head on what size she wants her family to be, for now, they're just focused on baby No. 1. "Look, I'll start with one healthy kid, but I'd like to have a few naturally and adopt," she said shortly after they got married. "I gotta get on it, you know? I'd like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special. I've had one goal in mind for the past 12 years, which is: get a movie, get a movie, get a movie. Now I might have to say: get a baby, get a baby, get a baby!"
