"Fear The Walking Dead," similar to its zombie-infused predecessor at AMC, is built around the threat of danger. The show's hook is that any character can be killed off at any time (though "The Walking Dead" has struggled with this concept for some time). However, the growing trend in Hollywood seems to be keep well-liked characters alive for as long as possible. "Fear The Walking Dead" is no different.
Colman Domingo made his "Fear" debut as Victor Strand in the latter half of season one last year. Smooth-talking, well dressed and mysterious, fans instantly took a liking to Domingo's sleazy yet undeniably entertaining character. Now it seems as if Victor Strand will be sticking around for the foreseeable future.
"Fear: The Spoiling Dead Fans" managed to grab a screen shot of the following Instagram post from Domingo, before it was edited to cover over the accidental spoiler the actor just leaked.
As you can see, the original post was captioned, "Back to work on the back half of the season. See you next Sunday." It was then edited to read simply, "See you next Sunday."
"Fear The Walking Dead" fans now know that Domingo's character will survive the first half of season two. While the series isn't the dramatic equal of a "Game of Thrones" or "Breaking Bad," it does take a little of the intrigue and excitement out of things to know the fate of certain characters. If nothing else, this deflates season two just a bit.
The second season of "Fear The Walking Dead" kicked off last Sunday as our main characters took to the seas to escape the growing zombie threat. But now our heroes must deal with an even deadlier danger: fellow survivors. The season premiere ended with an incoming boat carrying what we can only guess to be unfriendly citizens heading straight for Strand's yacht.
At least we know who won't be in danger when the two groups cross paths next week.
"Fear The Walking Dead" airs Sunday nights at 9 pm ET on AMC.
