Warning: The following contains spoilers for AMC's "Fear The Walking Dead."
Die-hard fans of AMC's "The Walking Dead" have been losing their minds ever since the controversial season six finale. The episode was bloated and lethargic and, to top it all off, Jeffrey Dean Morgan's long awaited debut as Negan was undercut by an inexplicable decision to end the season on a lazy soap opera-like cliffhanger. It was bad, you guys.
But at least we are left with something to take "The Walking Dead's" place in the offseason. This Sunday, "Fear The Walking Dead" will debut its second season in the same timeslot that "The Walking Dead" just vacated.
Remember, when last we saw our main characters, they were prepping to flee the mainland on mysterious newcomer Victor Strand's yacht. Before they could, however, Travis was forced to kill his ex-wife Liza after she had been bit by a walker. That's not likely to go over well with his moody son, Chris. Adding to the family drama is Madison Clark trying to deal with her heroin-addicted son Nick and her increasingly uncooperative daughter Alicia.
So what will happen to everyone when the companion series returns? Fear: The Spoiling Dead Fans has got us covered on the details.
Spoilery Bits for Episode 2.01. Thanks, EJ!- The opening scene is at night on the beach.- Travis tries to get some...

To recap:
-The group makes it to Strand's yacht and out onto the ocean where surely they will be safe, right? It's not like walkers can swim...
-They send Liza's body out to sea. Though it didn't always succeed, I did like how "Fear The Walking Dead" placed a firm emphasis on family drama and characterization last year.
-Strand and Daniel Salazar refuse to help people who are calling over the radio. It's tough to say, but this is the right move. They've already got a large enough group to worry about, they can't be taking on any additional stragglers. This is the zombie apocalypse, not good will.
-The group catches some fish. I would not want to know what the fish have been feeding on with all of these dead bodies running around.
-Chris dives into the water, scaring everyone. The second season hasn't even started yet and I can already tell this guy is going to be "Fear's" version of Carl. Ugh. Hate him already.
-Nick and others are floating in the water when they are suddenly attacked by walkers. Duh, zombies don't need to breath; of course they're hanging out in the ocean! You're never safe in a zombie apocalypse!
"Fear The Walking Dead" will return to AMC for a second season this Sunday night at 9 pm ET.
