Pippa Middleton’s boyfriend banker Nico Jackson has reportedly popped the question.
Middleton, 30, and Jackson, 36, were on a trip to India's Oberoi Amarvilas, a five-star resort over looking the Taj Mahal, when Jackson proposed, an insider told US Weekly.
Since their alleged engagement, the couple has been celebrating privately. The wedding is expected to happen in 2014.
"It was exactly how he planned it," the source told US, referring to the proposal. "Very romantic and grand!"
The couple returned to the U.K. from their trip to India on Dec. 10, according to the Daily Mail. Though the pair seemed relaxed, there was no sign of a ring on Pippa’s finger in any of the photographs taken of the pair at the airport. There has also bee no official announcement of the couple’s engagement.
Rumors started swirling of Middleton’s possible engagement in September, around the time Prince George’s christening. Multiple reports stated Middleton was hiding her engagement so she would upstage George on his special day. However, Middleton eventually axed the engagement rumors.
“Pippa and Nico made a pact to travel to lots of exotic destinations before walking down the aisle to start a family,” a source told the Daily Mail. “There will be lots of trips like this in coming months.”
However, a source told the Daily Mail in November that the couple was looking to get engaged in this December.
“They have been together for a lot longer than people realize. They want to announce an engagement after Christmas and the wedding will follow soon after,” the insider said.
Middleton began making headlines of her own after sister Kate Middleton’s royal wedding. Middleton wore a stunning, form-fitting white gown to her sister’s wedding. Photos of Middleton’s backside began to circulate (pictured above), which caused many to suspect she may have padded her bum to fill out the dress.
