Revenge Season 3 Spoilers: Emily Wakes Up With Amnesia; Aiden's Past Creates Trouble For Him and His Fiancée

All of you Jack/Emily fans are about to get some good news. Your good news will have the opposite effect for fans of Aiden and Emily. The nice moment Emily and Aiden shared as she was in her wedding dress, may be the highlight of their relationship for a while.

According to EOnline, things are set to get bumpy for Aiden/Emily when "Revenge" gets back from its midseason break.

We are going to meet someone from Aiden's past that won't bode well for his relationship with his fiancée.

"There's another great introduction into the nature of the Aiden backstory that sort of takes him into the future that shakes things up between him and Emily, too," showrunner Sunil Nayar said according to EOnline.

The someone to which EOnline is referring is most likely a woman named Niko. The website previously reported Niko and Aiden would meet again at a hospital following a shooting. We can assume the shooting is the one done by Daniel as he shot Emily off the cruise ship.

Nayar added the impending change of plans will also create a problem for Aiden.

"His future's just been upended and Emily's going to have to stay in the Hamptons for a little bit, and it's confusing to him," Nayar said.

Oh yea, there's one more thing that's going to create a problem for all the Aiden/Emily fans out there - she has amnesia.

Nayar spoke on the subject in an interview with Hollywood Life.

"She has at the moment lost her memory of all of it, and you'll see how we play out the amnesia storyline," he told the magazine. "Because obviously, it's quite the soap opera trope. [But] what we've done with it is [do it] the way that Revenge would do it: in a way that's extremely satisfying."

Nayar assures fans this won't lead to Victoria discovering Emily's true identity. However there will be a shift in the Victoria/Emily dynamic.

The showrunner tells the magazine Victoria now knows Emily "is not on the level and that some of her suspicions are actually correct, which gives Victoria a great engine going into the second half of the season," he says. "She now has the power in the relationship, which she hasn't had obviously in the first half of the season."

Although Emily is by no means giving up her desire to take down the Graysons, Nayar says she'll have to be careful because Victoria is not as much in the dark as she was before.

"Revenge" returns Jan. 5 on ABC. Read the entire Hollywood Life interview here.
