Still with us? Wonderful.

According to a recent unconfirmed rumor, "Star Wars: Episode VIII" may feature a massive lightsaber battle between Luke Skywalker and Rey vs. all of the Knights of Ren. Sounds pretty cool, no?

The details of the battle sequence describe an ambitious and enthralling Jedi battle that was reportedly filmed at a location in Ireland recently. If this report is to be believed, the scene includes seven Knights of Ren decked out in all black gear (naturally). We may have caught a glimpse of these figures during Rey's vision in "The Force Awakens." The Knights are led by Kylo Ren, without his mask, who duels Rey one-on-one. Meanwhile, Luke is using his well-developed Force abilities and his familiar green lightsaber to handle Kylo's cronies with ease. After the Knights are defeated, Kylo reportedly retreats rather than challenge his former master. Probably the right call.

During the battle, Kylo Ren is said to defeat Rey, though exactly how is unknown. Many fans of "The Force Awakens" complained that Rey, a first-time lightsaber user, would not be able to beat Kylo Ren in a duel. Here in "Episode VIII," it sounds as if they are rectifying that choice. It will be interesting to see if Kylo Ren's additional training at the hands of Supreme Leader Snoke has anything to do this.

Though the prequels did admittedly have some fun action sequences, there has never been any Jedi battle as big as what is described here. Again, it's important to remember that this is an unconfirmed report. But hopefully something like this makes it into the final product. We'll just have to wait and see.

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" will arrive in theaters on Dec. 17, 2017.
