BLU Products announced the latest flagship smartphone with eye-catching features packed in its "Life Pure" model. The Life Pro successor boasts 5-inch 1080p screen, 13-megapixel camera, 32GB internal storage and lot more for a reasonable $349.
BLU, the Miami-based smartphone maker, is intensifying the smartphone race with its latest addition and a successor to its highly-capable BLU Life Pro. The newest member to its Life series of low-cost smartphones is a 5-inch 1080p display BLU Life Pure. The smartphone is packed with high-end features similar to other smartphones. The device is a step up from its predecessor in terms of both, hardware and software.
The screen size is the same as any flagship smartphone in the market and is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 MediaTek processor. The display gets a protective, scratch resistance panel and features a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution with 441ppi.
"The Life Pure as its name suggests is art in its purest form, created from a single piece polycarbonate using the latest CNC technology, then each individually hand crafted, resulting in beautifully designed hardware," Samuel Ohev-Zion, CEO of BLU Products, said in a press release. "When combined with equally stunning software, the final result is a device that should be appreciated as different and captivating to look at."
The camera gets a slight boost from its prior model, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 5-megapixel front shooter for excellent selfies. The device does not run the latest version of Google's OS, but uses Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, backed by a 2GB RAM and spacious 32GB internal storage. It uses a smaller 2,000 mAh battery, compared to Life Pro's 2,500 mAh.
The unlocked version of BLU Life Pure goes on sale for $349 in the U.S. and Latin America. The launch date of the device has not been revealed but the company says the phone is already in production and will start shipping soon. Buyers can choose from two color variants, Matte Black or Ceramic White Finish.
