Rockstar North refused to provide the gaming public with information regarding the development of GTA 6. But rumors claimed that the game will most likely be unveiled sometime this year and will be released in 2018.
A report from Neurogadget hinted that the speculations were based on the latest fiscal report from "Take Two," Rockstar North's parent company.
The report highlighted the number of new projects that are being worked on.
Although it did not provide specific details, a lot of game observers believed that such projects include the highly-anticipated installment for the Grand Theft Auto series.
Aside from that, the raw information obtained also prompted others to speculate that 2017 can be considered as the best year for the release.
Amid conflicting beliefs, tech experts said that the upcoming game's title would possibly be showcased on September at the Sony PlayStation meeting, an event intended to reveal Sony's PlayStation Slim and layStation 4 Neo.
But some game observers expect that the GTA 6 is set to arrive sometime in 2018.
This assumption is deemed possible since it coincides with the 4/5 year gap that was set on the entire timeline of the franchise. Thus, if Rockstar North decides to follow the pattern, GTA 6 will most likely be released in 2018. Furthermore, it is also possible that the studio will unveil the game at E3 2017.
Finally, the GTA 6 as reported by iTech Post will possibly come with a London-based setting.
In the event that this assumption would be true, the introduction of right-hand cars into the game becomes a feature that players should expect.
