"City Life" the new expansion of "The Sims 4" is expected to be available soon. It is reported to be similar to the "Dine Out" expansion that was rolled out earlier.
Speculations suggest that the "The Sims 4: City Life" will have its focus on an urban life style. The Sims will be able to move into apartments and penthouses that are situated in the heart of the city. Apart from the new houses, the expansion will also have food carts, as well as street markets.
Moreover, it is suggested that the upcoming expansion will be similar to the "Dine Out" DLC that has already been released. "Dine Out" of "The Sims 4" had the Sims exploring fine dining establishments but "City Life" will have them exploring community markets.
According to reports, the expansion pack was leaked in Brazil and even though it was taken down by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice, fans had already obtained screenshots.
Now, Electronics Arts (EA) has Sony DADC as its distributor and it had asked EA to publish "The Sims 4: City Life" within 30 days, so it seems that the leaked information is true. Moreover, it was specified that failing to comply would give Sony the right to publish "The Sims 4: City Life" without EA's approval. Reportedly, the expansion will be revealed on Sep. 17. However, EA has not made any announcement about "The Sims 4: City Life" so far.
In other news, it has been said that fans should not expect "The Sims 5" unless "The Sims 4" is able to give a boost to sales. The producer, Grant Rodiek has also mentioned that presently they are not creating a sequel to "The Sims 4."
So, for now, fans will have to be content with the upcoming expansion "The Sims 4: City Life" and it is the sales figures that will decide the future of "The Sims 5."
