Anna Wintour doesn't care if it's before Christmas, she won't stand for her home to look like a mess, according to an Instagram post by her daughter.
Bee Shaffer, 26, may have revealed that her mother might secretly be a Christmas Grinch who can't stand the sight of a few pine needles on her floor.
"My mom threw out our tree before Christmas Day because 'it was too messy'," Shaffer captioned a photo of presents sans a festive tree.
However, Shaffer did say her mother's presents were spot on, posting an image of herself in a new pair of pajamas while holding a white "Downton Abbey" coffee mug.
This isn't the first time Wintour has chosen taste over trend. Back in September, Wintour reportedly axed a planned cover featuring Miley Cyrus; the Conde Nast artistic director allegedly disliked the singer's infamous VMA performance.
Cyrus performed her hit single "We Can't Stop" featuring teddy bears, little people performers, and a foam finger. However, it wasn't until she hit the stage with "Blurred Lines" singer Robin Thicke to perform his song when things got raunchier.
"Anna found the whole thing distasteful," a source told The Daily Mail. "She decided, based on Miley's performance, to take the cover in a different direction."
If Cyrus did have a Vogue cover in the works, she didn't seem too crushed about losing it. The 21-year-old singer told Cosmopolitan magazine her performance stole the show and it would've been a huge bore without her.
"When people started complaining about the awards show, I was like, 'Have you never seen the f***ing video?'," Cyrus told the magazine. "And what if I hadn't done that performance? The VMAs would have been bad. They would have been missing something. The show was kind of making fun of how serious the pop industry is."
