Although Season 2 was just released, Netflix has already renewed the show for a third and fourth season. It also released the teaser video for Season 3.
"Narcos" has also snagged some Golden Globe nominations with Season 2 taking it to a new high. Rather than fill the years of Escobar's story in 10 episodes, Season 2 went further to focus on the hunt to take the drug kingpin down. Reviews have been glowing.
While two more seasons are up on the line, Netflix has not yet revealed the plot of the story.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly , Eric Newman, the show's executive producer, said: "I think that there's a lot of story left to be told in Colombia."
"[This] show has always been about cocaine. We purposely did not call the show Pablo Escobar or Medellin ... If somebody wants another season of the show, we would sit down and draw from the pretty massive amount of real estate and research that we've done and do something kind of cool," added Newman.
Netflix posted a trailer for "Narcos" Season 3 on its YouTube channel. It shows Pablo Escobar fading on the background as a new drug lord emerges.
