There are some reports that suggest that fans were not really pleased with the second season. With this, there might be possibility that MTV will no longer release Season 3.
The Season 2 ended with the discovery of Kieran, played by Amadeus Serafini as the man behind the mask. The plot misplaced its continuity when it disclosed that Kieran and Piper, portrayed by Amelia Rose Blair, were in fact dating even before he dated Emma, played by actress Wella Fitzgerald.
From that, it was inferred that the killer in Season 2 was only play-acting to be Emma's boyfriend as Piper attempted to ruin Emma's life.
Fans were in a complete distress with such leak as they were supposing an exciting twist of events in the end of Season 2.
Many thought of Kieran as the killer in Season 1 but when it was exposed that Piper was the culprit behind the spooky incidents, those reservations vanished.
Another factor that brought disappointment to the viewers was the events' turning point which was also seconded in the series review published in IB Times. The series followed a pattern of making the boyfriend the deceptive killer in the first series up to the suspicion was removed from him. And in the end, it was revealed that he was actually the killer. Even if it's also a good try at manipulating the plot, still, it did not stimulate the excitement of the viewers.
TV Series Finale showed a data that actually proved the poor reviews of the series. Season 1 got a rating of 0.34 with 750,000 viewers while Season 2 dropped 0.19 ratings with 380,000 viewers.
With the poor rating on Season 2, can fans still hope for Season 3?
