Talks of "Mortal Kombat X Kombat" Pack 3 surfaced lately as previous DLCs like Kombat Pack 1, Kombat Pack 2 and Mortal Kombat XL continue to extend their dominance.
But NetherRealm Studios opted not to comment on the topic.
It can be remembered that "Mortal Kombat X Kombat" Pack 3 was not introduced at EVO 2016 because the company has no plans of giving details about it, according to creative director Ed Boon.
However, it was rumored that the company is busy preparing something for fans of "Mortal Kombat X".
The said rumor is coupled by Ed Boon's creation of a poll asking the gamers if they will purchase an Xbox One S. About 27 percent voted no, 7 percent voted yes while the remaining 66 expressed their desire for Kombat Pack 3.
It was also reported by iTechPost that the PC version of "Mortal Kombat X" for Kombat Pack 2 and Mortal Kombat XL are set for launch on Oct. 4, 2016.
But instead of tapping NetherRealm Studios and High Voltage to develop the second DLC's technical updates, Warner Bros. gave the task to Qloc. The same report also hinted that the Mortal Kombat XL will feature all the contents of the Kombat Pack 1 and the base game.
A GameSpot report also mentioned that the Kombat Pack 1 might feature new characters like Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface, Kung Fu master Bo Rai Cho, a new robot "Triborg" and Alien's Xenomorph. The Kombat Pack 2 on the other hand is believed to add four more additional characters that include Jason Voorhees and the Predator.
But due to the absences of any official confirmation from NetherRealm Studios, many "Mortal Kombat X" gamers are convinced that Boon's poll was more of a Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 3 teaser and not of the arrival of the Xbox One S.
