Zayn Malik may be the first member of One Direction to tie the knot, and when he and Perrie Edwards of Little Mix say "I do," the 20-year-old singer plans on having eighties rock band Journey reunite for their special day and sing one of Edwards' favorite songs, the Daily Mail reports.
Edwards loves Journey's hit "Don't Stop Believin'," and Malik is determined to get her the real deal. Journey's guitarist, Neal Schon, told The Sun that he might be able to play for one night, though getting lead singer Steve Perry to agree may prove to be much more difficult, as he hasn't performed with the band in 17 years, and has turned down previous reunion requests, and has said before that he "never really felt like he was a part of the band."
"Zayn is hopeful Journey will be there in some guise. Neal has made it clear through his channels he is up for it. He has his touring band who can play," an insider told The Sun. "But he knows Steve was the voice of that hit record, and no one on earth really sounds like him. If Steve and Neal were to reunite, it would be a massive affair and a payday. It's a feat but Zayn's reach across the music industry is huge."
Malik is, after all, part of the world's biggest boyband.
As for the location of the wedding, a source recently told the UK Mirror that Edwards is "torn between having a UK do, because all her family are here, and doing something magical and exotic abroad, like Barbados."
