Twitter starts streaming of NFL's Thursday Night Football; first broadcast drew cheers

Twitter's partnership with NFL for an experimental free streaming for the first of 10 NFL games this year gains great global recognition and success.

The first “Thursday Night Football” game through Twitter free streaming hits memorable reactions to various viewers and followers around the world.

As CNN noted, the streaming quality "seems to rival HD even on bigger screens." The stream is even easy to locate as it's the very first item 'Moments' within the app.

This Thursday's game is the very first NFL game that you can watch via Twitter. There are still nine more exciting games that you can stream live on Twitter for free during the year.

The free NFL games on Twitter is available for watching on all countries allowing Twitter operation except for Canada. This country has a separate contract with the NFL in terms of TV rights.

NFL's first five games will be officially aired by CBS. Its remaining five games will be aired by NBC. Twitter's live video app, Periscope, also gives its viewers the sideline coverage right after the game and even before it.

Twitter offers free streaming of NFL games in various ways. You can get it from twitter.com, Twitter mobile app, or from one of its newly-launched set-top box for Xbox One, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV.

Back on April, NFL signed a deal with Twitter to livestream games. This shows NFL's creative side to have their games viewed in multiple platforms available in every part of the globe.
