NBA: Free agent Josh Smith likely to join Golden State Warriors

Trade rumors in NBA are alive nowadays. But this one is a simple trade for a veteran impact player that was underrated throughout his basketball career. Josh Smith, also called as "J-Smoove", is being tipped in to sign to the Golden State Warriors this offseason.

Smith, a 12-year veteran player, has accomplished so much in his basketball career. But just recently, he is not sticking around too long on teams that he goes.

Smith started his career with the Atlanta Hawks, his hometown, wherein he built his name, set career records and deem to be the franchise player of the team. But after nine years, he departed Atlanta and went to the Detroit Piston. From then on, his career took a slump and until now he wasn't able to put up good numbers.

But now, the chance of redeeming himself is at hand. According to ChattSportsNet.com, the probability that he will be signed by the Golden State Warriors is looming. The report also revealed that Josh Smith is the perfect replacement for Harrison Barnes.

Barnes, who just recently signed a multi-year deal with the Dallas Maverick, help the Warriors to enter the NBA Finals the past two season. Now the Dub City is looking for his replacement and Smith could be the best answer. Smith is a good defender and once nod on the NBA All-Defensive Team.

Mobile & Apps also reported that Warriors will benefit on this once they sign Smith. Aside from his defensive skills, he is a prolific offensive player once he gets going. He can be a great help to the team in order to compete with the top such as the defending champ Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and others.
