‘Chicago Fire’ Season 5 postponed until 2017

"Chicago Fire" Season 5 will not be released this Oct. 11 as the producer announced the suspension of its airing until next year.

Despite the delay, executive producer Derek Haas revealed some spoilers while NBC network already released the official plot description of the premiere episode "The Hose of The Animal."

Inquisitr has learned that the upcoming season has been postponed until 2017. This is after the show was not included in NBC Network's fall TV series 2016 schedule. On the bright side, the series will still remain in its usual 10:00 p.m. timeslot.

Other than that, Haas hinted via Entertainment Weekly on what fans should expect in the Casey-Dawson arc on Season 5. Haas stated that Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) will start a new chapter in their lives. But they will not end up in marriage.

As for the official plot synopsis of "Chicago Fire" premiere episode, TV Guide notes, "In the Season 5 premiere, Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) search for Grant (Guy Burnet), who's AWOL from Chicago Med; Dawson questions her career path. Nancy Casey's (Kathleen Quinlan) relationship with his political consultant cools, and Danny Borrelli's (Andy Ahrens) anger at Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) over his brother's death boils over. In other events, Randy 'Mouch' McHolland and Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) partner on a new venture."

As of now, the official premiere date of the newest season has not been confirmed by the series creators and the network.

"Chicago Fire" is an American action-drama TV series created by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas.
