In an official statement released by the Miami Heat, Heat and Chris Bosh has been working hard in the last few months, with the help of the team's doctors and physician, to get Bosh be back in the court and play. But the Heat says, "Chris has now taken his preseason physical. The Miami Heat regret that it remains unable to clear Chris to return to basketball activities, and there is no timetable for his return."
Bosh said last week that he is "ready to play." But according to a report by Miami Herald, the doctors have found more blood clotting that spoiled his attempted comeback.
The health problem, said to involve his lungs, involved some evidences of clotting. Those blood clotting episodes sidelined him after the All-Star break in the past two seasons.
The good news is that Bosh's health issues are not life threatening, but doctors said that it still needs proper medication and treatment and playing is quite impractical.
Bosh started his NBA career in Toronto Raptors, which drafted him as the 4th overall pick in 2003 NBA Draft. He spent his first 7 seasons in the NBA in a Raptops uniform and appeared in 5 All-Star games during his stay there.
But his best days in the NBA is when he joined Miami Heat with Lebron James and Dwyane Wade and formed their own Big Three. In their 4 seasons together, they reached the NBA Finals four times and won two NBA Championships. They were so dominant together. But as we know, Lebron James went to Cleveland Cavaliers 2 years ago. And surprisingly, Dwyane Wade left the Heat early this off-season to join the Chicago Bulls. Chris Bosh is the only one left in the Big Three.
When his second blood clotting took place after the All-Star break last season, the Heat doctors said to Bosh that his career was likely over. After that, Bosh said that he felt like he was "written off" by the team. Via ESPN: "Seeing the team doctors, they told me that my season is over, my career is probably over and this just happens, this is just how it is," Bosh said. "I felt right away that I was written off. It was [claps his hands together] put it to the side matter-of-factly. If a doctor tells me, 'Hey that's it and this is how that is,' and I don't buy that. I have the right to disagree with you."
But according to CBS Sports, Chris Bosh will not fight for the failed physical with the Heat anymore. It doesn't mean that his playing career in the NBA is over. But it would really be risky if Bosh forced himself to play right now.
Who knows, probably Chris Bosh will recover from his health issues and play again in the NBA. But for now, things are really uncertain.
