According to a leak, Google is planning on releasing a new laptop on Q3 2017. The project is known as "Bison," also known as "Pixel 3." The new laptop is said to be showcasing the internet giant's new operating system called the "Andromeda," which is a fusion of Android and Chrome. It is said that with Andromeda merges Chrome features in Android but not vice versa. So, the new operating system is more Android than Chrome OS.
However, while the report claimed that they are confident that the Bison rumor is real, the laptop's specifications are still subject to change. Since it will be released next year, a lot of changes might happen and it might still be cancelled, according to Android Police.
Moreover, according to the leaks, Bison or Pixel 3 is going to be an ultra-thin laptop. It will have a 12.3 inches display but will still support a "tablet" mode as Google wants it to be that way. It is not clear yet if the new laptop will be a convertible le device like Lenovo Yoga or a detachable one like Microsoft's Surface Book.
The processor will either be i5 Core processor or an Intel m3 with eight or 16GB of RAM and 32 or 128GB of storage, suggesting two models. The Bison may have two USB-C ports, a fingerprint scanner, sensors, 3.5mm jack and a stylus, which will be sold separately. It may also sport stereo speakers, quad microphone and a battery than can last up to 10 hours. Its track pad is made of glass and the keyboard will be backlit. All of these will be packed in 10mm thick laptop.
On the other hand, another rumor said that the Andormeda OS will also power the new Huawei Nexus, according to 9to5 Google.
Evan Blass, a well-known Android leaker leaked the news about the new tablet. However, Blass did not mention any information aside from the Huawei Nexus will have a 7-inch display and 4GB or RAM.
