The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is known for many things like how it's every aspiring astronaut's dream, their mission to Mars, and more recently, their study of Jupiter's Europa. Today, NASA is known for the agency who completely rattled the world by moving zodiac signs.
"We didn't change any zodiac signs," said NASA in a statement released on Tumblr. "We just did the Math."
According to the brief history of looking to the stars that NASA wrote, the Babylonians, who lived 3,000 years ago, divided the zodiac in 12 equal parts - "like cutting a pizza in 12 equal slices." After dividing it, the belief was that the sun passes through the 12 zodiac signs or the constellations attached to each sign. And because they already a January to December calendar, each zodiac sign got a month to themselves.
But apparently, there's one zodiac sign that was left out because of the calendar. It's now known as the snake-bearing sign, the Ophiuchus. The existence of this zodiac sign was validated by the Babylonians' own ancient stories and because the North Pole isn't where it was 3,000 years ago, the sun doesn't pass through clearly on the 12 zodiac signs. It also passes through Ophiuchus.
"To make a tidy match with their 12-month calendar, the Babylonians ignored the fact that the sun actually moves through 13 constellations, not 12," said NASA.
Thus the new zodiac calendar looks like this: Capricorn (January 20 to February 16), Aquarius (February 16 to March 11), Pisces (March 11 to April 18), Aries (April 18 to May 13), Taurus (May 13 to June 21), Gemini (June 21 to July 20), Cancer (July 20 to August 10), Leo (August 10 to September 16), Virgo (September 16 to October 30), Libra (October 30 to November 23), Scorpio (November 23 to November 29), Ophiuchus (November 29 to December 17), and Sagittarius (December 17 to January 20).
According to sources, here are five things you need to know about the Ophiuchus traits and person:

2. People who are born from this sign are spirited, impulsive, clever, magnetic and at times, jealous, power-hungry, and temperamental.
