NBA 2K17 has highlighted more on MyCareer mode as NBA 2K17 gives the player more options to customization in MyCareer mode, according to Bleacher Report. The new MyCareer mode gives players a new level of customization throughout the game.

Game developer Virtual Concepts introduced the new and revamped MyCareer. The new mode gives player a further level of customization, as player can control the entire league with MyGM and MyLeague, while MyTeam allow player to create a customized team to compete against other players' own teams.

The new facial scanning technology gives more accuracy to create MyPlayer that resembles that of gamers. However, there are still difficulties for MyPlayer to earn badges, especially the gold level badges. Such, however, isn't as difficult as it seems according to Morning Ledger.

In every badge - indicating an achievement in MyPlayer, the ultimate one is the "Hall of Fame." This badge is obtained when the player has climbed the badge requirement. For example, the "Flashy Passer" badge is given to a player who made a successful flashy pass to a teammate, and for a point guard is a way to make an assist.

MyPlayer allows gamers to make a flashy pass by double tapping circle button on the PS4 or B button for the Xbox One. Once a player makes a successfully flashy pass, he obtains the "Flashy Passer" badge. MyPlayer must continue to make more flashy passes to achieve higher versions of the badge. When the player reaches the 50-pass mark, it will receive a Flashy Passer gold badge.

On the way to get 50 passes, everytime MyPlayer make a successful pass, its skills and tendencies for the pass increases. You can also combine Flashy Passer with Dimer Badge together to make more assists. NBA 2K defines Dimer badge as an "elite passer known for hitting teammates in the correct position to score," which is adjacent to the Flashy Passer badge.

In order to earn the "Flashy Passer" Hall of Fame badge, players have to make 100 flashy passes in a season. The "Dimer" Hall of Fame badge can be obtained by making 300 assists in 20 games, which equals to 15 assists per game. The player's MyPlayer must focus on the passing game instead of scoring to obtain these two elite badges for point guard.
