Google Play Music launched in India

There is a very good news is awaiting for all the music lovers in India. Google Play Music is now available in the region.

Google started the music subscription package back in 2011, but it was not launched in India then. It took almost five years for the apps to come to India.

But Google did not announce any official statement yet and the music subscription packages are not yet live in the country.

If users wants to download songs from Google Play store, then they can get millions of songs from there with starting download price at RS. 15. There are no monthly packages yet. There are few songs that are also available for free.

Though the store contains a good collection of Bollywood music, still Indians are still not able to get the full access to the library yet.

In the US, Google Play Music offers unlimited streaming and downloads facility at a monthly charge of $9.99. Google Play has over 35 million songs and it is already gone live on Android devices in India.

Though Google Play Music came to India after five years ago, its market did not come easy as it was quite competitive. There are plenty of online stores like Hungama, Saavn, Wynn and Apple music store, which offer good range of music under a very reasonable price.

Under this circumstances, Google has to build a proper subscription plan to be successful in the Indian market. The subscription cost should be more attractive than other online music stores. If Google can do it properly, then its music store would be really successful and popular in India.
