EntertainmentWise reports that legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese may be directing One Direction's next feature film.
The 71-year-old "Wolf of Wall Street" director is apparently a huge fan of the British boyband, and as a source told the New York Daily News, ''Martin is very passionate and enthused about the music of One Direction.''
Scorsese, who is known for being a huge music fan and directing Michael Jackson's iconic "Bad" video, reportedly fell in love with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson and their music after his daughter Francesca gave him their album as a present. Last summer, the band's first feature film "This Is Us," directed by Morgan Spurlock ("Supersize Me") grossed a whopping $67 million worldwide, and along with a rumored reality show, another film is currently in the talks.
While "This Is Us" received mixed reviews from critics, it was a big hit with fans, as the concert film provided an in-depth look into the lives of the band pre- and post-"X-Factor" rise to fame.
Scorsese's latest film, "The Wolf of Wall Street," has received mostly positive reviews so far, earning a 75% RottenTomatoes rating.
