Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti specs, release date, price rumors: Pascal GP102 silicon architecture, 12 GB, 26 SM cluster

The launch of the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will happen during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 event, which is going to be held in Las Vegas in January next year. CES is one of the biggest consumer electronics and technology shows in the world

According to PCGames N, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang would be the keynote speaker of the event, as he takes on the stage at Las Vegas event to reveal more details about the company's latest graphics card.

Based on multiple reports and articles at different tech sites, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be using the modern Pascal GP102 silicon architecture, and is expected to give a much-better output than the already-impressive GTX 1080. Its specs is set to rival the more-expensive Titan X.

The GTX 1080 Ti will be having the features specs of 3,328 CUDA cores. The high-end device will also be having 12 GB GDDR5X. The device's boost clock can also reach 1,623 MHz. In comparison, the Titan X has 3,584 CUDA cores and a boost clock of 1,531.

Nvidia's new card is expected to sport 26 SM clusters enabled. Its previous model GTX 1080only has 2,560 CUDA Cores with a base clock of 1,606 MHz.

The price of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, Nvidia's next-generation graphics card, is expected to be within the region of USD 700-800. That alone makes the device the most expensive single GPU the company has ever made.

Nonetheless, the is only a bit more expensive that Nvidia's previous model, GTX 1080, which is sold at USD 600. But when compared to the Titan X, which costs about $1200, the new graphics card comes it at a much cheaper price.

With that, Nvidia's avid faithful have something worth waiting for should present rumors about the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti come to fruition at the time of its release.
