Google's new OS update Android 7.0 Nougat is ready to go into the smartphones of Samsung. Google, which recently rolled out its smartphones Pixel and Pixel XL, has also launched its new developments in the operating system Android 7.0 Nougat.
Various smartphone manufacturers whose devices run on the Android OS are already furnishing their list of devices to get the new Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Sony, Motorola, Lenovo and other mobile manufacturers have already readied their devices to take the update.
It is reported that Samsung has also furnished its list of smartphones ready to take in the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The list includes most of the smartphones recently launched by Samsung. Android 7.0 Nougat is ready to be updated in the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, and the unfortunate flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which is still wrought by faulty battery issues.
All the recently-launched Galaxy Note models and Galaxy S models are included in the list except the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge models. These two models, launched two years ago, are in doubt to have the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is not confirmed yet whether these two models will receive or not. US carriers such as AT&T and US Cellular have recently equipped these two models with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
As per the reports, Galaxy S5 Edge is under study whether it should have an update or not as the flagship was launched two and a half years back. It is on the centre of the line - not confirmed either to go back or move forward. If the Galaxy S5 moves forward, it will be updated with Android 7.0 Nougat and if the decision is to make it turn back, then the Galaxy S5 will stick to Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
