'NCIS' Season 14: Series regular confirms exit as former cast member returns

Series regular David McCallum confirmed his exit in "NCIS" Season 14. On the bright side, Duane Henry has returned to reprise his role. Not only that, CBS Television Network has officially released the plot summary for Episode 5 "Philly."

According to Parent Herald, McCallum decided to depart from the show due to his health condition and age.

The production crew and series scribes are prepping up to create a plot for impending exit of the 83-year-old Scottish actor and musician.

David McCallum plays the role of Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard, an official medical examiner for the NCIS major case response team.

On the other hand, Duane Henry officially returned to the series. Buddy TV reported that the 31-year-old English actor will reappear in the next episode of "NCIS" Season 14.

Duane Henry will reprise his role as MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves.

As for the official plot synopsis of Episode 4, Spoilers Guide notes, "When a missing MI6 Officer is linked to a murdered petty officer, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon sends Alexander 'Alex' Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) and Bishop to Philadelphia to work with MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry).

Also, Quinn painfully recounts the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) case that made her leave field work. "

"NCIS" Season 14 Episode 5 is titled as "Philly." The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 8:00 p.m. first and exclusive on CBS Television Network.

"NCIS" is an American action police procedural television series created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill. The story revolves around a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
