Almost all teams are all set for the 2016-2017 NBA season. But there can still be some changes in some of the team's rosters. Trades could still happen throughout the season until the trade deadline.
According to Fox Sports, here are the 9 NBA players who has a high possibility of being traded in the 2016-2017 NBA season: 1. Nick Young. 2. Zach Randolph. 3. Danilo Gallinari. 4. Brandon Knight. 5. Jaylen Brown. 6. Rudy Gay. 7. Greg Monroe. 8. Ricky Rubio. 9. Nerlens Noel.
Now let's take a lot at each player and their possible destinations if traded:
1. Nick Young - Los Angeles Lakers
Now on its 11th NBA season, Young is not young anymore. After NBA superstar Kobe Bryant retired last season, the Los Angeles Lakers is in a rebuilding process. Their focus right now is developing young talents like D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson. They already have enough veteran players on their team to guide the youngsters. And newly-hired head coach Luke Walton was given a task to create a winning culture in Los Angeles.
Nick Young's occasional immature acts isn't part of a winning formula. Once being offered by a good deal, the Lakers might not hesitate to give away Young. His possible destinations might with the Phoenix Suns or the Miami Heat.
2. Zach Randolph - Memphis Grizzlies
New Memphis head coach Dave Fizdale has made it clear to Randolph that he will come off the bench this coming NBA season. Z-Bo spent most of his career as a starter. If he comes off the bench, he might be less effective. Aside from that, Randolph will be an unrestricted free agent next summer. So there's no doubt that Grizzlies might trade Z-Bo before this season ends.
Zack Randolph could be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, per Sportsrageous.
3. Danilo Gallinari - Denver Nuggets
In his 8 years in NBA, Danilo Gallinari average 14.9 points per game. But over the past 2 seasons, he has plagued with injuries that caused him to miss a lot of games. Gallinari can also opt out of contract next summer. So he will be one of the main trading chip for the Denver Nuggets.
Danilo Gallinari's possible destination is with the OKC Thunder.
4. Brandon Knight - Phoenix Suns
Although Brandon Knight average a career-best 19.6 points per game, he was also told that he will come off the bench. The Suns is also loaded with guards. Trading Knight might be a good move for the Suns.
Brandon Knight's possible destinations are the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Philadelphia 76ers.
5. Jaylen Brown - Boston Celtics
Drafted as the 3rd overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft, the Boston Celtics might develop Jaylen Brown into a good NBA player. But after acquiring Al Horford last offseason, the Celtics is a win-now team. As the season goes on, expect the Celtics to solidify their line-up. And trading a young player like Jaylen Brown for a veteran player who could help the Celtics have a more deep playoff run is really possible.
Jaylen Brown's possible destination might be with the Sacramento Kings.
6. Rudy Gay - Sacramento Kings
Rudy Gay made it clear that he'll opt out of contract after this season for the Sacramento Kings to become an unrestricted free agent. The King will most probably not make the playoffs again this season. If given a good deal, the Kings might let go of Gay.
Rudy Gay's possible destination are with the Los Angeles Clippers or the Miami Heat.
7. Greg Monroe - Milwaukee Bucks
Greg Monroe is a big part of the Bucks' playoff run 2 seasons ago. Everyone thought that the Bucks is on the rise. But the Bucks miss the playoffs last season. Monroe can opt out of contract after this season to become a free agent. And the Bucks need some changes from their line-up to get back to playoffs. If given a good deal, the Bucks might give away Monroe.
Greg Monroe's possible destinations are with the Sacramento Kings or Philadelhia 76ers.
8. Ricky Rubio - Minnesota Timberwolves
In today's NBA, a point guard should not only make good passes but also has to shoot well. There is no doubt that Ricky Rubio is a great passer and a decent defender. During his career in the NBA, he average a very impressive 8.3 assists per game. But his shooting is not good as he just average 37% from the field and 32% in the 3-point line.
Drafting Kris Dunn could only mean that even if Rubio is not around, the Wolves still have a good point in them. Given a good deal, the Wolves might trade Rubio. If traded, Rubio's next destination might be in Chicago Bulls or the San Antonio Spurs.
9. Nerlens Noel - Philadephia 76ers
The Philadephia 76ers is still in the rebuilding process. And now that Joel Embiid came back from various injuries, the Sixers can now focus on developing Embiid. With Embiid and Okafor already guarding the inside, Nerlens Noel might be traded before the season ends.
Nerlens Noel's possible destinations are with the Phoenix Suns or the Milwaukee Bucks.
