On October 11, Sony India commenced the sale of its flagship smartphone, Sony Xperia XZ, in the country. Sony Xperia XZ, priced at Rs. 49,990, is available at retail stores across India and can be ordered through Amazon India.
Sony Xperia XZ was unveiled last month as the flagship of the Japanese tech company and includes an MRP of Rs. 51,990. Fortunate customers who pre-ordered the smartphone will get Rs. 8990 Sony SWR30 Smartband, which will be included in the Xperia XZ unit as a freebie.
Sony Xperia XZ is most noted by its three rear camera sensors. The CMOS sensor of the camera can track and predict the movement of objects in a frame, which will reduce the chances of blurred shots, according to Sony.
The smartphone includes a laser autofocus sensor which lets the camera lock focus on objects better especially in low-light. The RGBC-IR sensors will provide accurate color reproduction to the photo. All these are supported by the 6-element f/2.0 Sony G lens, an Exmor RS sensor that has 23 megapixels, and Sony's image processor Bionz. The user will now have manual control over the shutter speed and focus of the camera.
Getting to know Sony Xperia XZ
According to Sony, the 13-megapixel wide-angle front camera of the smartphone includes an Exmor RS sensor that is bigger than the front cameras of other flagship phones. Sony Xperia XZ is IP68 certified which makes it water and dust resistant. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection for it 5.2-inch full-HD display.
The hybrid unit launched in India has dual-SIM that supports both SIMs with 4G voLTE. Moreover, the dual-SIM unit has a 64GB inbuilt storage compared to the 32GB that is included in the single-SIM unit.
Sony Xperia XZ is powered by Snapdragon 820 that has 3GB of RAM and has a USB Type-C connectivity and a 2900mAh battery.
