The Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings are two teams that are regular in trade rumors this offseason. Kevin Love, DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore are among the players on their roster that been linked to several trade deals. Both teams are also engaged in trading rumors recently.
Earlier reports are saying that Love will be traded to the Kings in exchange for Cousins but up to now that trade deal never happens. And now, a new trade agreement is brewing for both teams with new players bringing in as trade bait.
According to YIBADA English, Cavs fans love to see DeMarcus Cousins playing for them but the deal to get him in exchange for Love did not prosper. It is said that the Kings is decided to keep Boogie for now and see if his attitude and performance will change under new head coach Dave Joerger. That's why the Kings send another batch of players for Cavs consideration.
Trade scenario is suggesting that the Kings will send Rudy Gay, Ben McLemore, and Willie Cauley-Stein to the Cavs for Love as per stated in the report. Basketball analyst says that the deal is a decent one considering that the Cavs is gunning to defend their title and add depth to their rosters.
The Inquisitr further breakdown the upside of this trade for both sides to their report. Adding Gay to the Cavs lineup gives them a reliable scorer that could play alongside LeBron James in the rotation. As for Cauley-Stein he might came off the bench as the Cavs have Channing Frye and Tristan Thompson as starters.
As for McLemore, he can be a key addition to Cavs roster if ever J.R. Smith will not sign to Cavs as per stated in the report. McLemore had a disappointing showing last season and this could be the turning point in his career to learn from James and improve from last year. But if ever Smith re-signs, he'll be a backup and could play limited minutes.
Could this be the Cavs best chance to upgrade their roster and contend for the title? Or they will still look for better to trade Love?
