A brave challenger is about to face the dominance of Apple's iPad devices. The tab device, which is the successor to last year's Surface Pro 4, will be coming to hit the market in the coming year.
According to Simmtester, the Surface Pro 5 will feature 4K display and this is meant to counteract Apple's Mac book Pro which will also be coming in 4K display. Also, the only area where Apple can beat the other subsequent tablets in 2017 would have been on the display part.
Microsoft is featuring the similar display as the latest 2016 MacBook Pro in their Surface Pro 5 with a stronger processor and probably a lighter build than Mac. With this, one can easily come to know that Microsoft has completely nailed Apple on this part. Also this high end device will be much thinner than the Surface Pro 4.
In an HNGN report, it was stated that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be the Microsoft tab device to implement the USB-C standards. USB-C charger is known for its lightning speed in data transfer and charging. Also Microsoft's latest gadget will improve on the already great camera.
One of the updates coming is the Surface Pen. This stylus bundled with Surface Pro tablet will be updated with a rechargeable battery that will charge wirelessly when magnetically attached to the tablet.
At present, Surface Pen attaches magnetically but is not rechargeable as it takes an alkaline AAAA battery. This can be confirmed as Company has recently applied for a patent on a rechargeable stylus that regains power via a magnetic dock.
Surface Pro 5 will be having sixth-generation Skylake chip and some rumors also suggest that it will be the following generation with codenamed Kaby Lake.
The Redmond, Washington-based tech conglomerate, still not announced anything officially for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date. However, various reports suggest that it will be in stores by fall 2017.
