Android 7.0 Nougat Update: Release dates for Nexus phones confirmed, Motorola and Lenovo devices soon

Google has announced the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the tech smartphones and the release dates are to be mentioned from the tech giants. Android 7.0 Nougat update and the Android 7.1 Nougat OTA update are the ones recently unveiled by Google.

Smartphone companies like the Nexus, Motorola and Lenovo are preparing their smartphones to take up the Android 7.0 Nougat update and the release dates are mentioned below.

Android 7.0 Nougat update: Nexus Smartphones

Android 7.1 Nougat OTA update will be available in the Nexus smartphones by December. Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X are the first samrtphones of Nexus to get the OTA update as per the reports. It is also expected that the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player will also receive the Android 7.1 Nougat update.

The Android 7.1 Nougat OTA update in the Nexus smartphones are featured with Daydream VR support, A/B system updates, image keyboard support and the Nexus smartphones will not get the Google Assistant and Pixel launcher features as it is being seen on the Pixel & Pixel XL.

Android 7.0 Nougat update: Motorola Smartphones

According to Indian Express, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are the first two smartphones to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Other 15 Motorola smartphones to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update are the third edition of Moto X Pure Edition, Moto X Force, Moto X Play, Moto X Style, Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2, Moto Z, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Play Droid.

Specifically, Moto E3 Power and Moto G3 smartphones will not get the Android 7.0 Nougat update as indicated in the recent reports.

Android 7.0 Nougat update: Lenovo Smartphones

As per the recent report, Lenovo's flagship devices to be equipped with Google's new Android 7.0 Nougat update are Lenovo K3 Note, Lenovo K4 Note, Lenovo K5 Note, Lenovo Vibe P1 are the smartphones which Lenovo might put-in the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

However, Motorola's parent company Lenovo has not unveiled the timeline for its smartphones to receive Android 7.0 nougat update.
