Lenovo has officially announced that the Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones will start receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Earlier in this month, Motorola had announced that it will start rolling out the latest OS update for its 15 Android devices starting in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Lenovo's Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are the first non-Nexus smartphones to get an update to Android 7.0 Nougat officially. The smartphone company has announced the update on its support page last week.
The latest update seems to be international but according to the pundits, soak tests were also performed on Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus models in Brazil, while informs about the Nougat update for devices in India, are also available on the Lenovo/Motorola official support page.
Lenovo users who are going to update from Android 6.0 Marshmallow, can expect a excess of new and improved features on their devices that will include quick switch between apps, the power saving 'Doze on the Go,' direct reply to notifications and the custom quick settings etc.
For updating to the Android 7.0, the update should hit eligible Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus handsets wirelessly and also automatically. On the other hand, users can also check for the update manually by accessing Settings > About phone > Software updates.
If you have Lenovo Moto G4 and G4 Plus, you can easily download the latest version of Android by following steps listed below.
