After Motorola launched Moto Z, many people were under the impression that the Moto X series has come to an end. But recently leaked image hints at the revival of the model.
Motorola is working on a new smartphone and it is very likely to be Moto X. An image has leaked out on Twitter and it indicates that the smartphone under development might be Moto X, reports Indian Express. Earlier, Moto X was spotted on CCC certification website and it signaled at Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4 GB RAM. The display seemed like 5.5- inch AMOLED with shatterproof glass on it.
Though it is still not clear if Moto X will be a modular smartphone, there are high chances that it would be. As for design, the leaked image indicates that the Moto X would follow the footsteps of Moto G. The company has always focused on the 'feel' factor instead of design and the Moto series has revolved around this very theme. The smartphones under this segment had similar looks but they offered different features.
In the meantime, Motorola is focusing on a smaller form factor device called Moto M. It is said to possess a 4.6-inch screen, 3GB RAM, 32 GB storage, MediaTek processor, 16 MP primary camera, 8 MP selfie camera and Android Marshmallow. However, the most enticing feature is its long life battery as it is rumored to have 3000mAH battery and a fingerprint scanner at the back side.
It is worth mentioning here that 2015 saw Motorola launching three variants of Moto X- Moto X Style, Moto X Force and Moto X Play. Moto X Play emphasized on endurance and Moto X Force was about strength as its shatterproof glass display held the attention of customers. Moto X Style was about mid-range flagship specifications.
The Moto X series has been unable to lure customers despite good specifications. It has not really clicked with customers but now under the leadership of Lenovo, one can expect the series to make a good start.
