Apple is going strong with its 7th series variant iPhone 7. More than that, the Apple product has always something fascinating to share under the radar.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has never revealed its smartphone secret component until now. iOS developer Steve Troughton-Smith says that a useful element in the device has been included in the system since the release of the OS 8 in September 2014.
The inclusion of a one-handed keyboard will come as a surprise to everyone who owns or used an iPhone unit built two years ago. This feature is intended to address issues associated with typing troubles.
Considering that the screens of new iPhones are large, a problem may arise if a user has small hands to maneuver the surface. Utilization coverage also includes situations where the use of both hands is not possible. For instance, texting while eating easily qualifies since only one hand is available.
The typing pad sets the individual keys to one side of the screen so that pressing the display with a single hand becomes convenient. This approach is usually done on a 5.5-inch surface.
While this feature looks helpful, a troubling thought emerges. The keyboard has been kept hidden from all users, and it will probably stay that way.
The iOS 8 has been hailed as a key transition since the 2014 release of the App Store. The launching goes hand-in-hand with the screen-dominant iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Together with the hidden keyboard, the compatibility issue makes sense for users with small hands.
However, the feature's inaccessibility will raise questions why people cannot utilize it. Troughton-Smith suggests jailbreaking the iPhone in order to retrieve the one-handed typing pad but this approach will have warranty troubles.
Apple has reiterated that illegal modifications to the operating system infringe the end-user software license agreement. Because of this, any form of service will be denied to iPhone 7 and the unit owners.
