OnePlus 3 users may get Android 7.0 Nougat update on their smartphones as a Christmas gift. However, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X users may have to wait a little bit more to enjoy the features included in the newest version of Android OS released by Google.
According to International Business Times, Android 7.0 Nougat would be first released for OnePlus 3 users. The update will be seeded for them by the end of 2016, that is, around Christmas.
However, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X users will have to wait till the start of 2017 for the Chinese smartphone manufacturer to release the Android Nougat 7.0 update for their phone. Clearly, OnePlus 3 users are being given a priority over OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X users.
OnePlus' CEO Pete Lau recently shared a photograph of a few engineers working on the all new Android 7.0 Nougat. The photograph, captioned "already hard at work on the latest and greatest," indicates that the team is working hard to release Google's new OS update for OnePlus 3 users.
Meanwhile, Motorola Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus users are expected to receive Nougat update pretty soon. The informations about seeding of the new OS on these two phones has been updated on the Motorola's official website. Moto users are, therefore, advised to check regularly for updates and new notifications as one of it could be related to an upgrade to the latest Nougat firmware.
According to Gizbot, OnePlus users will get to enjoy multiple new features after they update their phones with the latest Nougat firmware. Multi-Window support, data saver mode and Google daydream support are some of the new features.
However, interactive notifications remains one of the most exciting feature. It allows users to tap on a notification and send instant replies, thus eliminating the need to open the app.
