Xiaomi has recently announced the Mi Note 2 the phone that looks doubtfully similar to Samsung's stopped Galaxy Note 7 while most probably posturing less of a fire risk.
Xiaomi's new phone is a good option for those who are looking for a replacement for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The phone is sporting a design like the Note 7 which is curved on both front and back. The new 5.7-inch Mi Note 2 also features a 23-megapixel camera and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of onboard storage.
Xiaomi has been pushing its Mi Pay mobile payment system lately as a result of this the Mi Note 2 will come with NFC, reports CNET.
Xiaomi has also announced a new Mi VR headset that which will work with Mi Note 2 and major Mi smartphone series The Mi VR will feature a 9-axis motion controller and support touch controls. Xiaomi also claims over 200 app developers have come together to create apps for their VR platform.
The latest phablet is similar to the Mi 5S Plus, which launched last month. The phone has a 5.7-inch full-HD display and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, clocked 2.35GHz. Mi Note 2's display uses OLED technology to curve the screen on the front.
Mi Note 2 also runs Xiaomi's custom MIUI 8 skin. Like most skins out of China, it lacks an app drawer. The latest Xiaomi flagship comes with a 4070 mAh battery that will support for Quick Charge 3.0. It will have HiFi sound quality, SAP high-precision GPS and NFC support and also global LTE bands: 6 types, 37 bands support, according to IndianExpress.
The phone is starting at 2799 yuan i.e. $413 for a variant with 64 GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, while other will be of 3499 yuan i.e. $516 for a model of 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM.

The bad news is that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be launched in China-only and Xiaomi has no plans to sell this elsewhere. For Indian techies, Xiaomi has not confirmed when the new smartphone will be coming to India.
