The Dallas Cowboys is one of the favorite teams in the NFL league. And they didn't disappoint. Early in the season, they are now holding a 5-1 record after Week 7 and many believe that they will easily pass through the playoffs.
Despite missing the services of starting QB Tony Romo, rookie backup QB Dak Prescott is playing like a veteran leading the Cowboys at the top of the NFC division. And with Prescott superb playmaking, speculations have emerged that Romo could be traded by the team.
However, rumors are also spreading that the Cowboys are also searching to enhance their defense and looks to be targeting one of the Miami Dolphin players. According to Sportsrageous, the Cowboys seems to be in dire need of an upgrade in their defense and their eyes are pointing to Miami Dolphins defensive end, Cameron Wake.
One analyst said that Cowboys defense is a disappointment giving up 24 sack this season and Wake could be what the Cowboys been waiting for to alleviate their defense as per stated in the report.
The analyst further states that Cowboys starting DE Randy Gregory is still suspended while Demarcus Lawrence is still not in the groove of things coming from suspension also. He then advises to have a "situational rusher" during end games and that's pointing out to Wake.
The report also says that if the Cowboys wants to solidify their chance to go to the Super Bowl then adding Wake is one to ponder about. In his eight years as a Dolphin, Wake has a career total of 73 sacks and 265 tackles which could be a big help for the Cowboys.
On the separate report by Yahoo Sports, the Dolphins should consider to let go of Wake and could get a fifth-round or sixth-round draft picks in return from the Cowboys. Trading Wake could also give the Dolphins a better look of their defensive line in the future and unload some dead money on their salary cap.
The report further says that it's a win-win situation for both teams and for Wake also as he has the chance to probably win a ring with Cowboys if ever they'll go to the Super Bowl.
