"Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" launch their new single-player Illustrious Pirates DLC Pack worldwide on Jan. 8.
The Illustrious Pirates DLC Pack will cost gamers $7 or free if you're a Season Pass holder for AC4. Check out the description of the DLC below, courtesy of Ubisoft's official blog:
"All the retailer-specific DLC is coming together in perfect harmony in the Illustrious Pirates DLC Pack. Extend and enhance your game with three new single-player outfits, three missions, Jackdaw customization options and multiplayer items. The whole pack only costs $7, unless you're a Season Pass holder, in which case it's already yours. The Illustrious Pirates Pack is available for download right now on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 in North America. Other territories will have access to Xbox One and Xbox 360 today, with PS4 and PS3 arriving tomorrow. PC will be available globally tomorrow."
Another "Assassin's Creed" DLC coming in January is "Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD". Players will take on the role of female Assassin Aveline in a revamped "Liberation" for the PS3, originally only available for the PS Vita. Ubisoft and Sony reportedly worked closely to create more challenging gameplay for the PS3.
"Aveline is the first Assassin with such clearly different character types - Assassin, Lady, and Servant," PlayStation wrote in their blog. "Each persona has its own advantages and disadvantages when playing missions, and each generates a different reaction from the city life around Aveline. That's a total of 15 missions delving deeper into Aveline's story."
"Liberation" takes place in New Orleans between 1765 and 1780, towards the end of the French and Indian War up to the middle of the American Revolution. Aveline is of mixed French and African heritage, who amidst her world privilege and contrasts, rises up to become a strong woman who opposes slavery.
"Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD" will be available exclusively for the PS3 on Jan. 14 in the United States for $19.99. The DLC will be released on Jan. 15 in the U.K.
