As fans excitedly await the season 4 premiere of "Game of Thrones" on HBO this spring, WinterIsComing.net has prepared a round-up of the latest casting news, plus some info on which actor has signed on to return as a regular in season 5.
To start, the newly-casted Daario Naharis has been signed on as a series regular into the next season, the sellsword who recently pledged devotion to Daenerys Targaryen now played by Michiel Huisman. It looks as though he will prove to have quite the important role in her storyline as she continues to fight for the iron throne and make her way towards Westeros.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. In season 4, Littlefinger's spy Olyvar (Will Tudor) will be making a return, as confirmed by Tudor's agency CV. We last saw Olyvar having a brief affair with Ser Loras before reporting back to Littlefinger on the Tyrell's plans to wed Sansa to Loras. The spy mission was originally instigated by Cersei, but ironically backfired on her when Tywin found out and made the decision for her to wed Loras and Tyrion to wed Sansa, which he did towards the end of last season.
Cersei has yet to marry anyone, though seeing as her brother (and lover) Jaime is now back in the picture, things are sure to get more complicated.
Andy Kellegher will be reprising his role as Polliver in season 4, the cruel Lannister soldier who stole Arya's Needle sword and killed Lommy Greenhands. We last saw Polliver at the end of season 2, and perhaps he'll be making more trouble for Arya.
Gary Oliver has been cast as a Braavosi Captain for an episode directed by Alex Graves, and fans who have read George R. R. Martin's source material, "A Song of Ice and Fire," know the importance of his role in the upcoming season.
