If you are a Nexus user, you can experience the Android 7.0 Nougat on your device. The developer team, which is known as Android Ice Cold Project (AICP), has published an unofficial customizable ROM-based development on the Google operating system.
The Android 7.0 Nougat update can unofficially get installed on a Google Nexus device through custom ROM created by AICP developers team. This is particularly developed for the Google Nexus 7 of 2013.
AICP has put up the Android Nougat-based firmware update on the flagship tablet with Nougat features such as battery optimization, split screen, revamped interface, performance tweaks, exclusive themes, and a number of features that invest it with some special attraction.
However, the latest Nougat custom ROM is just in its initial, experimental stage, so it might be risky and have bugs.
Keep in mind before installing Google Nexus 7 Android Nougat Custom ROM
Google Nexus 7 users who are trying to update with the Android Nougat through the custom ROM technique should keep in mind one fact - you will not retain the warranty once it has been installed. Custom ROM users will not be able to provide updates further. However, you can get back warranty if you flash the device with stock-ROM
Remember that the device needs to be rooted before custom ROM gets installed.
The latest Android Nougat custom ROM series can be installed on Google Nexus 7 LTE (aka Deb) and Wi-Fi (aka Flo) 2013 series models. The tablet needs a lot of empty memory.
Do not forget to install the USB driver on the PC. The device needs more than 80 percent battery. The installation calls for a lot of battery.
