The Golden State Warriors are said to be the team to beat before the NBA regular season starts. But after seven games, they already have two losses and seem to be struggling. Same goes to the Minnesota Timberwolves, which are expected to have a decent start but are now faltering with four losses after five games.
After acquiring Kevin Durant thru free agency during the offseason, many believe that the Warriors formed a formidable lineup of Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green but they are met with a disappointing start and now holding a 5-2 record including a 20-point loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
As for the Timberwolves, having Karl-Anthony Towns, Ricky Rubio, Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins and rookie Kris Dunn gives them a respectable starter but still they stumble to four defeats in five outings. And now, rumors are saying that a Thompson-Wiggins swap could be the answer to the misery of the two teams.
According to ChattSportsNet, Wiggins is not putting up impressive number making him a liability to the team and pundits are suggesting to deal him to another team. Same goes to Thompson who seems to be not himself and struggle to play alongside Kevin Durant confirming earlier reports that having both of them will yield an awful result.
Recent NBA trade rumors suggest that Thompson admits that he is into a slump at the start of the season but promise to get back in form as soon as possible. Though Thompson made a promise, it is not an assurance that he'll get better and if ever it turns bad a Thompson-Wiggins swap might work.
The Inquisitr's earlier reported NBA trade rumors swirling online that Thompson was also involved in a blockbuster deal with the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. This also includes notable players like Jimmy Butler, Avery Bradley, and Jaylen Brown but up until now the proposed trade deal never happen.
Though the said deal is a legal transaction as per checking to ESPN NBA Trade machine it is still the decision of the three teams if they will proceed with it.
