American legal drama television series, Suits, will be airing again as announced by the studio. However, fans and followers of the USA Network series will be missing a character on the premiere of the other half of the show's sixth season.
The hit series was announced on Thursday, through the official website, that it will return airing for the remaining episodes of Season 6 on January 25, 2017. So, fans and viewers better get ready. However, there is a major change on the series, since Gina Torres, who portrays Jessica Pearson, was confirmed to depart from Suits.
According to Parent Herald, it was during the fifth season when Torres had decided to leave from the drama series. Because of this, the character she is portraying, Jessica Pearson, is expected to not be seen in the show anymore.
The aforementioned source mentioned that Harvey Specter, portrayed by Gabriel Macht, and Louis Litt, portrayed by Rick Hoffman, will reportedly find it hard to reprise their roles considering that Torres had an important role on the series.
The actress, who acts as a lawyer, is supposedly their middle man, and going on without her may give them some struggles. Speculations arise that the show will see cancellation of Season 7 now that Gina Torres is gone
According to a report from Christian Daily, Torres has to depart from the series because reportedly, the actress has to spend more time at her home in Los Angeles. Considering that the series currently films in Toronto, she may find it hard to travel from home to work and vice versa.
The actress thanked the network for understanding her departure, saying, "I can't thank USA enough for being so understanding and supporting me in my choice and so I am incredibly grateful."
In the sixth season, it is rumored that the firm, Pearson Hardman, is to merge with Wendell Pierce's character, Robert Zane's firm. There were speculations by the fans that, if indeed true, the merging may not be beneficial for the main characters.
But fans are just gonna have to find out during the airing of all the other episodes of Suits Season 6 next year.
